Margins, payment and cash
Review profitability across up to five service or contract groups, aged invoices and actual collection times. Build a 13-week cash forecast from expected receipts and payments.
Understand contract profitability, plan cash and improve invoicing and payment collection through a defined 90-day programme.
A focused TIFA Growth programme for service businesses that pay for delivery before customers pay them. It brings together financial analysis and practical changes to pricing, invoicing and collection. For broader priorities, these disciplines also sit within our Growth & Performance Programme.
Enter a typical month of credit invoices and the average time from invoice to payment. Then explore a shorter payment time.
See the approximate unpaid balance and how it changes when customers pay sooner. This is separate from your profit and business value.

How it works: monthly credit invoices × average payment days ÷ 30. The initial scenario reduces the payment time by up to 15 days, never below zero; it is an illustration, not a recommended target. Both balances exclude VAT and assume steady sales and collection patterns. Unbilled work, overdue-debt recovery, costs, tax, borrowing and existing cash balances are not modelled. This is not a cash-flow forecast or a valuation.
Figures stay on this page and are cleared when you reload or leave. They are not saved, sent with an enquiry or passed to the booking service.
The free tools run in your browser. Using them sends no answers or figures anywhere. Overnhill's AI runs on the firm's own data, under the firm's own rules.
If you choose to send an enquiry, only the information you submit is shared.

Review rates and terms, remove delays in invoicing and put a consistent collection routine in place. Your team approves commercial decisions and owns customer communications.
Train the owner of the forecast and reporting pack. Compare payment days, overdue invoices and margins with the baseline, and agree what to review next.
Current accounts or management figures, an aged receivables report, relevant contract information and expected receipts and payments. A named person in your business maintains the information and approves changes.
We agree the records, workflow and specialist input before starting. The programme does not include bookkeeping catch-up, statutory accounts, tax or insolvency advice, debt recovery proceedings or a new accounting-system implementation. Additional work is scoped separately.
A growing business can carry more unpaid invoices even when payment times improve. We review payment days, overdue debt, margins and the forecast cash position together. Faster collection is not treated as additional profit.
Use the forecast and reporting pack in a monthly review alongside sales, capacity and the next operational priorities. Optional software can support invoicing reminders and reporting; the consultancy review remains a separate service.
No. It estimates unpaid invoices using a typical month of credit sales and average payment days. A cash forecast also needs starting balances, costs and the dates money is expected to move.
Faster collection can release cash from unpaid invoices. It does not itself create extra sales or profit. Any cost savings or margin improvements are considered separately.
Yes. The free business health check covers commercial activity, finance, operations, people, customers and systems. The Growth & Performance Programme brings those priorities together in a defined engagement.
Tell us what is taking up your time or holding the business back. We’ll recommend a programme and explain its deliverables, timetable and fee before you commit.
